Clinical Supervision & Professional Consultation

Clinical supervision provides an opportunity to reflect on our work, strengthen our clinical skills, and grow as thoughtful, confident practitioners. Whether you are working toward independent licensure, navigating complex clinical situations, or seeking ongoing professional support, supervision offers a space to explore challenges, develop your professional identity, and deepen your practice.

Drawing on over a decade of experience in forensic social work, clinical practice, and organizational leadership, I provide individual and group supervision for social workers in Connecticut and New York. My approach is collaborative, reflective, and trauma-informed, with an emphasis on integrating clinical theory, ethical decision-making, and the realities of working with individuals navigating complex systems.

Clinical Supervision Services

Individual Clinical Supervision

Individual supervision provides dedicated time to discuss clinical cases, explore therapeutic approaches, and strengthen assessment, intervention, and documentation skills. Sessions are tailored to your professional experience, practice setting, and individual goals. I work with social workers pursuing clinical licensure as well as independently licensed professionals seeking ongoing consultation and support.

Group Clinical Supervision

Group supervision offers an opportunity to learn through shared experiences, case presentations, and collaborative discussion. Groups focus on clinical reasoning, ethical considerations, treatment planning, and professional development while fostering a supportive community of practitioners. My groups welcome social workers from a variety of practice settings and experience levels.

Forensic Social Work Supervision & Consultation

Forensic social work presents unique clinical and ethical challenges, particularly when working within legal systems, correctional settings, and interdisciplinary teams. I offer specialized supervision and consultation for social workers navigating these environments, including those involved in criminal defense, mitigation, reentry, and advocacy. Our work may address trauma-informed interviewing, psychosocial assessments, professional boundaries, ethical decision-making, and collaboration with attorneys and other legal professionals.

My Approach to Supervision

I view supervision as both a learning opportunity and a space for reflection. My approach balances practical clinical guidance with curiosity, collaboration, and attention to the broader systems that influence our work.

Depending on your professional needs, supervision may include:

  • Clinical Case Consultation: Exploring assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, interventions, and complex clinical presentations.

  • Ethical Decision-Making: Navigating confidentiality, professional boundaries, competing responsibilities, and ethical dilemmas.

  • Professional Development: Strengthening clinical confidence, identifying areas for growth, and developing your professional identity.

  • Trauma-Informed Practice: Understanding the impact of trauma on clients, practitioners, and the therapeutic relationship.

  • Reflective Practice: Examining the emotional and relational dynamics of clinical work, including countertransference, professional stress, and the impact of working within complex systems.

Experience & Professional Background

Throughout my career, I have supervised social workers and interdisciplinary teams in public defense and clinical settings. As a former Director of Social Work and Director of Integrated Client Services at New York City public defense organizations, I provided clinical supervision, professional mentorship, and training to social workers at various stages of their careers.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Connecticut and New York and have held a Seminar in Field Instruction (SIFI) certification since 2016. My supervisory approach is informed by my clinical training, leadership experience, and longstanding commitment to supporting the professional development of social workers.
